What is Open Courseware?

Open courseware is the publication of educational material on the web for free public use. The open courseware movement began at MIT with their OCW project—with other institutions getting on board soon after. The Open Courseware Consortium is the collaboration of over 100 different educational institutions and organizations focused on the goal of creating free, high quality online courses. Oryoki will make it easy for anyone to participate in the open courseware movement.

About the Oryoki Project

Oryoki is currently the thesis project of Jeff Siarto at Michigan State University. It is in the very early stages of development but will be released under an open source license when it's in a usable form. Feel free to contact me if you're interested in getting involved with the project either as a user or as a developer.
